Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello
My name is Louisa and I am new to this site, it looks very interesting and am keen to explore and get to know you all !
The reason for my stumbling upon "Oozing Goo" was that I actually live in the house that Craven Walker lived in and filled his first Lamps, the Mathmos factory is a few miles down the road from us and the pub where he discovered the idea is in a nearby village in Burley, Craven Walker was the pioneer of British Naturism and his first naturist camp is at the rear of our garden!
so....our house is quite a talking point!
please say Hi ! x

As far as I know, this is the largest lava lamp site on the internet.  It's a great community to be a part of.

Hi Louisa and welcome, thanks for posting the photo of your lovely house and telling us its exiting past history.

Early Astrolamps occasionally come up on ebay, and second hand/charity shops are good for a rummage, you never know you may get lucky !

Enjoy the forum,

Peter.

Hi Brad

Thanks for the warm welcome! I have just added a couple more photos

I am looking for an original Crestworth Lamp as it probably would have been filled in my house!

I have spoken to an older gentleman that still works at Mathmos and he remembers delivering the first glass jars to Craven Walker at our house to be filled.

I am so pleased to have found this site, I think I have come to the right place.

Is this the biggest Lava lamp fanclub site on the web?
