Well when you color the fluid you only add a drop at a time of food coloring and then let it flow for a little bit until it is all mixed, then go from there.  When I colored my son's green fluid to hide his "fried" lava, I added a drop at a time.  I'm sure it would be an experiment, but worse case scenario, you could always cool down the wax, dump the fluid and start again because you're wax would still be ok.  You would just be missing out on a tad amount of surf but they give you plenty with the kit.  Have you ever goo-kitted?

i think it is a very neat combo but u would need just the right amount of color or it would b too darkto see anything or it would prob just look like a grey glob of alien poo

I like!!!  Hummm, that just might be an idea for a goo kit!!!  I would image I could get my hands on some black food coloring at my Michael's store.
