Ah Mike, that find was a complete newb fluke. I had seen pics Jim had posted, and "thought" it was a Continental, but wasn't sure. I bought it anyway, just in case, for a song. Glad I did now! I liked it anyway. :-)
Thanks, Jonas. It surprised me being as large as it was, but it is gorgeous. I just got a lucky break on this one. The Parrot Glitter Graphics is supposed to be here in a day or so. I'll take pics when it arrives.
Thanks so much to the mod who was responsible for featuring this photo! I'm honored and very appreciative!
Lovely GemLite you've got. And, in the current market for US glitters, $65 is a bargain!
Keith, all snakes are in the clear here, other than rattlers and copperheads. We have to look out the basement door when we go outside, there is apt to be a bad one quiled (coiled) up right against the door or garage door. Others are in the yard or driveway. I carry a "Snake Charmer" at all times up here. We got some stuff at the Co-op for snakes, but I am not expectin it'll work. When I get all my "lava" and "glitters" in order in my loft, aka "The Swamp," I'll post some pictures for you and Brad.
I also would enjoy pics of your house. It looks quite interesting with the rock and "Willie". Oh, and of course LAVA!
Our everlasting hills of Oklahoma are full of vipers and scorpions also. We aren't overrun with scorpions but see a few each year. We have been here almost 7 years and have killed 25 or 30 copperheads within 20 feet of our back door. We started putting out sulfur (for flowers) a couple of years ago and have only seen 1 or 2 a year since then.
LOL, Brad, thanks! We just live in a ole board and batten house in the mountains, very rustic, which we love. I do not love the poisonous vipers and scorpions though. He and I stomped 16 scorpions in the last two days, when we move around the vehicles. They hide under the tires. That's 16 less that will venture into the house. I've been stung 3 times over the years by those demons, and don't want no more. :-)
nice lamp! more pics of your house please!
That was a one in a million find, especially for me, Erin! If it hadn't been for this site, and you all posting pictures, I would never have known what it was.
Gorgeous. What a find!
That's it, Keith!!! Hahahaha But a rattler would probably be best for him...... :-)
