Yes they came from the same seller but I don't think the seller had
anything to do with the caulk. The seller knew nothing about lava lamps.
The seller just flipped them from an estate sale.
The silicon type tape was old not fresh tape...

Hey Todd, both of these lamps came from the same ebay seller right? Did both have caulk under the caps?
