yes the wax is translucent right now, but it becomes opaque after the first few runs from what i understand.

Are the goo kits what make the "shiny" lava? I love the look of the glossy looking goo in a clear bottle. Probably won't change mine at this point since I just got it going, but I think I've been bitten by the lava bug. Can't wait to start tinkering with another.
