The idea came from my son. This one was pretty tricky. You need to be able to cut ceramic and then deal with the uneven head. This is a good one for me to take a break on. This will be one of the last ones I make for awhile. I am out of Goo, Dimmers, Caps, Cones and some other parts. My rooms are filled with custom lamps and there is hardly any room to work. I think I will thin down the collection to a managable number ( 100 lamps + - ) and just enjoy the best ones.
BTW, This is a cookie jar. I bought it on E-Bay for $39.99 free shipping.
Note: Only attempt if you are able to cut and grind the ceramic lid. The head is very uneven and your lamp will look like crap if you can't get the cone to sit nice on top.....like this one !
Enjoy!

This lamp is gone. I gave it to my son in Vegas as a birthday gift. It was his idea ( I was running out of them...) It's a cookie jar. I friggin love it!
I mixed the lava color to look like brains, a grey color that looked bad. I played with a few colors of red until I got a color I thought looked good. Bright red did not look good. I matched a color that is on the cookie jar.
Tremendous work on this one.
awesome!
Also, if you ever sell any of these customs, I'd be interested in the coffeepot one.
nice dude! seen these on thinkgeek.com. You've gotta show me how you cut holes in the top like that.
