Here are three similar sized UFO fiber optic lamps that are 21 inches wide.
The one in the middle is a genuine Fantasia Solar 1 that rotates and changes colors.
The one on the right was made in West Germany and it only changes colors ( no rotation ) but it does have a switch on the side of it that can be used to stop the color from changing.
I just bought the one on the left from a Canadian seller on Ebay who had advertised that the spray on it did not rotate however I happily discovered that it has a switch on the bottom of it that does indeed make the glass fiber optic spray rotate!

Thanks for the details, MileHigh!
Very nice! I am looking for one of these large UFO shaped lamps. They are very hard to find!
I hope to find one eventually!
I consider the Fantasia Solar 1 a nicer lamp than the Canadian one but not by much!
I was fortunate that the seller could not determine that the spray on it actually did rotate.
I think if he could have verified that, this lamp would have sold for considerably more as it is much nicer than I was expecting.
It's not very often that you can find something on Ebay that is BETTER than described.
Top notch James!
Ah, I see you are the culprit who won that nice Canadian UFO lamp on ebay. Looks fantastic. It's certainly the stand out lamp of the the three you have there.
FANTASIA SOLAR 1
Glass 8 color wheel -Orange - Purple - Red - Light Blue - Yellow - Green - Dark Blue - Clear
CIMA INTERNATIONAL
Clear color wheel with 6 small circles of colored glass on it - Purple - Yellow - Red - Blue - Orange - Green - no circle (clear )
MYSTERY LAMP - no markings on it came from Canada
Nice compact base design, need to use a screwdriver to access it.
Very thick glass 7 color wheel - Blue - Orange -Yellow -Green - Purple - Red - Clear section twice as large as other colors.
Finger prints on chrome currently not scratches.
These are interesting. What are the color wheels like in these? I assume the Solar I has the same eight-color pie-segment wheel (red blue green yellow, orange pink purple clear, I forget the exact order) as the Cosmos, Sunburst and Regency.
Right on Mile high..." Who Killed Flipper"... Bring me his head ! lol.
Nice fibre optics btw :)
Back in the 60's that would have been a far out show to watch.
They sure did have some pretty comical advertising back then.
"greatest potential is among your most desirable customers"
"Were sold on Lost in space because we know it can sell for you"
LOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Tp1bEp... in the day... this was so exiting .. and in colour... if you owned a colour TV !!!
