Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I am working as a volunteer for a local charity in one of their three stores in my town. Somebody left six bags of rubbish outside the back door last Thursday morning (this happens a lot)
As we went to put them in the trash one of the bags was leaking a familiar smelling fluid ! though I wasn't sure what it was at the time. I opened up the bag and sitting right on the top was the Astro base which at first glance I thought was an old cooking pan. I carefully went through the bag of crap and found the cap and right at the bottom the globe. It was wrapped separately in a plastic carrier laying on its side and the screw top was loose, barely screwed on at all. After my initial excitement my heart sank as ALL the master fluid had leaked out !!!
Such a shame as its in pretty good nick, just a small ding in the cap. :( :( :(

All donated electrical goods must be tested and passed by a qualified electrical engineer by law and marked with a sticker as proof. The manageress of the store I work in knows of my Lava habit and has asked the sparky in the main warehouse to send all Lava lamps to HER store as she has a regular customer who collects them  ;)

I will always offer a fair price (its a great charity) but not stupid ebay collectors prices !
