Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

This is the same lamp in every image. I stripped the old paint off, put in a goo kit, and painted the base and cap with the transparent blue chrome paint. :)

Yes, definitely 3 or 4 lamps for me. Can't wait for May/June to start ordering some Glitters.

Well it looks like I won't hear from them until Monday morning their time...Sunday night my time, at the earliest...but I think the order must be ready to ship! Hopefully early next week I'll get word from them that they have done that. :) Then it's supposed to take 28 days at sea, then we have to drive to Atlanta to pick them up. So it looks like the end of May, at the earliest. But thanks for your tentative early order! So you want 4? Wow, that brings the total up to 15 lamps that people have spoken for!

Mark, I was just curious if your large order of glitters have come in yet? I have a Fantasia fiber optic light that would look great with (2) silver base, silver glitter and clear water Glitters on each side of it. I can see the base in the fourth picture (above) with the glitter & liquid in the sixth picture framing my Fantasia :>)

Thanks! Quality in mind, yes! I hope the quality is also in the lamps! :p I know that it is in the unmodded units. I now own two of them, they work great, and I think they look great! I like that they are metal, I like the way the globes are recessed slightly so that they fit nicely into the bases and caps with no overhang, and I like the simple design. I'm a bit worried about this transparent paint, but that's really the only thing that worries me about modding them...and when I get an anodizer setup, even that will be gone. :) I am getting the hang of the spray paint too though, so we'll see!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I had so much fun watching the paint wrinkle under stripper foam.

Thank you, and also Jonas and Erin!

They said that they would let me know when production was done...I should find out tonight! :D I'm so excited...

NO, Mark!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! WHYYYYYYYY!!!! You desecrated the 24 lamp. It is the "Holy Grail" of Nascar lamps. LOL.  Your finished project is awesome. Can't wait to get one of your glitters. Great Job!!
