Its already got the original bulb in it with no info on how many watts it is.
The purple wax is quite dark and not very translucent at all.
Sometimes it actually looks black.
I'm going to put a dimmer in and try to control the heat a bit.
Im also looking at a battery-powered led that fits in the lid to get some downlight happening.
Im picking up a second hand Telstar today.
Not sure if it works but might just need a tweek like all the old ones do.

Its great to play with lava again after having 25 years off...
When I started all I was armed with was an original crestworth patent and a helpfull chemical supply shop.
Many 100s of hours of hit and miss playing with carbon tetrachloride (now banned because of major liver damage it causes!!!!!!).
Now there's the internet with brilliant sites like this that are a library of info.
