Received the Coachlight as a gift for helping out with website for family, was very thoughtful and well played.
Love the classic wax and its quirky phases!

these two lamps being a year apart, the Century does that odd pea shooter for about 30 minutes then starts to glob up. The Coachlight ain't got time fo' dat, it just spikes and melts down to the drooly flow. I wish they split the difference and combined their waxes to share. The Century runs awesome but has those damn white chunks and the Coachlight has sooth wax but likes to break into little pellets of goo as it runs, those lil dots of melted wax drive me nuts!
Yea, my blue swirl and my blue/white enchantress look like they're about ready to blow up!!!! I'm like OMG what did they put 8 pounds of wax in them there things!!! lol!!! Then when the get too hot and start pea shooting I'm like OK, where did all that lava go??? I swear they like to play tricks on the mind. Well, they are from the 80's and 90's.....the 70's lamps are probably worse with the mind games, lol!!!
The older wax does seem to give off a more glass like appearance in the globes, I really hope the Century wax can get over its chunkyness, I don't want to open it to remove them.I agree, sometimes the cold wax level warms up and creates a HUH!? That much wax was in there?! reaction
Gross??? Are you kidding me??!! lol!! Those drooly ones are my absolute favs. My enchantress and blue swirl just luv to drool!!! If I dim them just right, I can sometimes make them get into that phase, but most of the time they will do a huge fat column, so when I can get them to drool it's the best. I notice with the goo kit wax, you get a lot more of that drooly, silky, flow. You can definitely tell from watching the habits of the vintage LL, the newer china LL's and the MT wax that there is a difference. It seems to me that the older vintage LL's had a lot more wax in them. Now, not sure if it's just MORE, or is it a heavier, thicker substance. It almost seems (this sounds weird) like the wax almost swells, and doubles it's size in the older lamps. I'm talking mostly like early 90's. Does anyone else notice that or am I just being weird?? It almost seems like there's not enough room for it in my 32 oz globes because it gets HUGE!!! lol!!!
The globe does have a very nice flow. Might sound gross but it gets a drooly phase, just red drooling up from the bottom and down from the top, it is a fun one to watch.
That oooozzeeeyyy flow looks yummmmyyyyy!!!
