I used to see these in thrift stores on occasion, and am now kicking myself for not buying them. Are some of them UV-responsive?

They are from the 70's. The 'designer' ones were made by Laurdis Lonborg of Denmark and the rest are marked "made in Hong Kong" on the bases.

These are really cool and 'Atomic' age!

 

I've one of these with pink/purple balls and it's up on the TV where it belongs!
