The flow is decent on mine. No stuck wax at the top, but the bottom has wax stuck all around the base about 1/4" to 1/3" of the way up the glass. I'm debating returning it.

And yes, the silver seems to congregate at the bottom, though it is definitely mixed in with the lava, too.

Yep, saw this and thought it looked promising.....should have known better! The silver separated real quick and the wax stuck to the top of the globe on mine. It had really bad flow as well! I have to say the packaging was the only good thing about it! Reminded me of the old non china lamps.

It's definitely...got a touch of it. The silver metallic seems to pool at the bottom and doesn't mix in as well as you'd think.
