I did.......still didn't work and was gettin smokin hot.
U have to replace the 25watt reflector with a 30 watt reflector
The Clearview base is horrible too. I put another globe on it, wax already melted on another base and flowing great. When it got on the Clearview base, it just slowed down and started shooting up little blobs. Never did get going. What a bummer.
Because they make more ruining it.... Why doesn't LL make good lamps to sell on a website. and cheap crap for stores??? Mathmos seems to do fine this way.
No excuse for the cloudy. I'd request a replacement until you get a clear one or refund of your money. Why won't LL just go back to USA formula. Spend some $$ and save their reputation. Geez.
Glad you said that, Trev. I'm nearly afraid to set my yellow Fluidium up. I swear it looks like it'll take a tumble immediately. No way would I set that globe down on a shelf without the base like you do. LOL
This is pure "high test" milk, Trev! :-)
Keith, it looks top heavy, but really isn't. It's just weird all around. The switch goes in the back and the cord is right next to it. This is one "dysfunctional" lamp........
Strange design indeed! I think I might like it, then sometimes I see one and almost cringe. It also looks kinda top heavy.
