Black Squiggle Aristocrat with Pinholes

Won this on Ebay last week. It's a rare, Black Squiggle with Pinholes! And best of all - the base and cap are in MINT condition.

The most beautiful squiggle I've seen. The Ebay seller said she found it in an old hippie's yard sale. He had a lot of nice stuff, but this was by far the nicest -- Well, I guess!!

The liquid was a little cloudy and the wax had that funky white stuff on the bottom and on the coil. The coil was starting to rust. It flowed good, but I wanted to improve it.

So, I filtered the liquid and the wax. Pitched the coil and put in a new one.

I NOW LOVE THIS LAMP!

I believe this is a light green wax/light green liquid model. Seems like a rare color combination to me. I was considering changing the liquid to turquoise blue. I'm glad I left it original.

The sticker on the inside of the cap says, "APR 1973".

I mean you know you have to hurry before someone else gets it -- as you frantically check all the pictures, quickly read the auction, and verify the feedback. And then it's 50-50 until you open the package and actually see what you got. :>)

Not only can you look at this and think "that's really rare", but also "that's really beautiful" AND "I fixed that!". It doesn't get any better than that.
