10-4, Keith, my bad.... :-) That blue almost looks like Mathmos blue, it's very nice! I get those "niblets" of goo in a few of my lamps too, mostly when they run a bit hot, but not always because of heat issues.
The blue in the middle is very clear actually. The camera picks up a hazy look from the brightness of the light. It does get little tiny balls of goo from when the globs stretch apart.
I've never seen so much wax stuck to the globes like that either, Keith! Ouch. That was a great price though, even if you do have to work on them. I'd lay the filter to that blue one and see what happens.....
$15 total. "Might" need to work on the two aristocrats. The red flows ok, the purple has lots of small globs and the water is too dark to see much even up close. These two have the most stuck wax of any LL globe that I have.
