About 72-75 or so was the transition from using green wax in the 03 to the eventual cream color. This interim color was noted on color stamps on boxes as "safe green", and came with sea-blue liquid like all green/blue (03). However, it had problems; the lava would take on a murky appearance and fill with air bubbles, and the liquid would either fade to clear (rare) or, commonly, turn a cloudy "pond scum" color. I have a 1972 Century that did the latter change, and it looks revolting but does flow; my BF suggested I dub it "The Snot Rocket", so I put a sign on it.

You can leave yours as-is, it's OK this way; or, you can dye the fluid a bit with food color - you want it a few shades lighter than modern white/blue.
