Lava Lamp arrived foggy :C

Purple Neon from Spencer's Online arrived foggy... inside of box was a bit damp too, and the bottle cap is a bit loose. Seems it had a rough ride =/

Should I take it back or wait and see if it clears up?

Hopefully the green one will arrive in good condition D:

Comment by Bridget T on January 20, 2013 at 8:20am: Take it back. My yellow got clearer after a few months (I could actually see the lava) but I ended up dumping and replacing the fluid to get it clear, and the fluid level looks low as well.

Other option might be to warranty it through lava lite if sending it back will cost money or you don't have a local Spencers to go to.

Comment by Jonathan on January 19, 2013 at 10:39pm: It's cleared a little bit after having run for 6 hours... Wax is very visible now, but it's still pretty foggy. You can see the wax towards the front and middle fine, but the blobs in the back are blurry. I'll just see how it is when I get the green lamp.

This actually came very early, I wasn't expecting it until Wednesday. Green may come on Monday because the purple one only took 3 days. O.o

Comment by TomK on January 19, 2013 at 10:31pm: I have heard that if you run the lamp for 3 or 4 hours each day for a few days that the fog will clear, but I have never been that lucky. I have always either returned the lamp or replaced the liquid. It does appear that your lamp leaked a bit so a return to Spencer's may be the ticket for you. If you decide to run the lamp first, make sure the cap is tight!
