My metallic Jet refills - the balls rise and fall - more vertical motion but far less blobs!

My Astrobaby metallics refills have more of a cyclic flow - more collisions and so more blobs.

I have noticed with many of the silvers stray balls running around..

is this common with the silvers? I dont notice it in the other metallic colors
