I'm flattered that my idea took off. I had the plan floating around for a few years before I did anything with it. Ask if you need any advice, though the procedure was pretty simple. I sanded ALL the brass before spraying, used two fiber optic lamps' flowers for fullness (used many different types of flowers, some of these have a few different flowers in one lamp), and didn't use the flat leaves or the big pink rose. The leaves that are bundled into a cable work. The flower stems curl forward at the top; use that to your advantage, so the flowers point more upward and the stems go almost horizontally into the cone. Drill your holes just about the same size or the flowers will wiggle, and use a q-tip to smear some black silicone caulking around where the stem goes into the base. I also colored the tips of the cables a bit.
I suggest removing the music boxes (unscrew the key, and save the key and screws) and sending them to Chow for his music-less music box lamp. The light/motor/color wheel inside those fiber optic lamps is also worth saving for other nifty projects. I can't wait to see more of these!
