He made it out of a bunch of the 52oz neons.

Trev, let's talk about my Grande here.  Erin was getting notices about her Giant, and we were talking about my Grande......whoops.    Now, why do you not like goo kits, and what did Jim do to his Grande that made it look so great?

I think I'll try to filter it first.  It's way too dark, Keith, but the flow is horrible too.  We were going to put it down in the garden where it wouldn't fall over and try to fade it in the sun, but I was afraid the deer would kick it over and break it.  Or some "other" critter.  @Ben, my Grande was a Craigslist find (by Kirk) too.  I have a MSR gravity filter.  The  miniworks filter had carbon in it.   They don't make the ceramic one like many of you have anymore.

My craigslist blue/yellow grande was dark and dead until I filtered it with the Miniworks filter and added salt solution. Now it's much better, as seen in my photos.

Libby, if the blue is too dark for you, you can sun fade it.  Set it out in a place that is sunny all day long until the blue fades to the shade that you want.  This is the perfect time of year for sun fading.  It may take a while with a globe that large.  A smaller globe would take a couple of weeks to fade to nearly clear this time of year.

It's really is not cloudy as in foggy,  just very dark liquid.

Good Grief, that lamp is on right beside the Grande.  That's why it looks brighter......sorry.

Murky sounds cloudy.  Is it cloudy?  If so, the first step would be to filter it with your gravity flow filter and then check the flow.  I swear I've seen wax and flow improve dramatically with a good filtering.

LOL, I like it too, if it flowed as lovely as it spikes!!!    I know you like it, hahahaha.  It really isn't as bright as that looks.  Either the blinds were open or the flash went off and made it look bright.  It's really pretty murky.
