NO dents!? Lucky you! These also almost always have some surface rust inside the base.
For some reason, the impression I get from the style of this model makes me call it "the lamp most likely to be found on top of grandma's TV set." The 70s decorated box, which had four vignettes showing lamps in settings, had this next to a dentist's chair, with one of those creepy old belt-driven drills and a smiling patient watching it. (Others were grandma knitting in a rocking chair by a Coachlite, two teens groovin' by a Mediterranean, and an Astro [spiral] in an office with oil derricks outside).
thanks! yes, the color is so beautiful and no dents! i did have to clean the coil and a bit of rust from in side the base but it wasnt bad at all.
The catalog's blurb sums it up perfectly, I think: "Stylishness with simplicity, beauty without blandness." A simple but exceptionally pretty lamp, though very prone to dents. Yours is an uncommonly-unfaded green/blue with excellent flow. A beautiful addition to any collection! Far more common in red/clear or "orange"(red)/yellow.
The Carlisle is one of my favorite lamps. :)
