52oz. $20. First run. The glass is HORRIBLE, though you can't see it in this pic. Full of light pinholes, a few smears, etc. The glass is pretty awful. Also, as you can see, the color combo on the box does not equal the color in real life. If I can take a decent pic of this lamp, why can't Lava Lite?! Sheesh.
I really do like the color combo though. More updates as I get in more runs.
Also, a black base would have been preferred for this combo. I'll be drilling and painting this one.
In case my other photos get buried with more comments, here's what the lamp REALLY looks like when running in a dark room:

Oh, it's horrible in there. I'm 37 and no prude, but dayumn, the baby onsie with "Cute as F*CK" left me speechless.
Erin, I'm emailing you, can't say this in public......
Try going in to buy a lamp at a place with dildos and baby shirts that say "Cute as F*CK". I feel like an idiot in that store.
Libby, do you have and decent 52oz. globes you want to part with? Preferably screw-top?
I must add that Mathmos cs team were very helpful and have offered me a replacement on more than one occasion but the hassle of sending proof ie photo's and posting ect put me off.
Gone are the days when I could go in to a store and buy a quality lamp along with the common courtesy and trust that went with it :(
I would much rather have a screw top globe too, Erin. I hope you can find one! I don't like crap lamps either, but I've sure got a few here that need to go in the trash.........unfortunately.
Oh, Pete, I would have had a conniption fit over that too!!! Bless your heart, and glad you found another globe, that lamp is too beautiful to not have a perfect globe!!
The search begins... I've got tons of crap in the basement, but I don't tend to keep bad lamps. I'd love to get a screw-top globe...
True, I guess you'd be best off just trying to find an empty 52 oz. globe to transfer to. The back and forth crap is very aggravating too.
Oh Lib I cried when the blue /green had been run a couple of times, you know how it goes when you get exited over a new globe... and direct from Mathmos !
You should have seen it illuminated...mess !!!
Yes, I too was hoping for lime/lighter green.
I don't see the point in contact Lava Lite. If they ship me anything, I run the risk of getting a possibly cloudy globe and even worse glass.
