Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

White bottle with Copper base and green coloured light

I love this lamp as I can change the colour of it by changing the bulb. I have red, green, blue and pink bulbs. I am also working on a project to use LED's to light some lamps so they can be any colour

I wonder why Mathmos don't persevere with heaters and LEDs? It has to be in the future somewhere.

What king of heating element do you use? A reptile heater bulb? Id be very concerned about setting the right output.

Hi Mark, I bought some from ebay a while back but they do get harder and harder to find sadly! I actually now prefer to a color changing LED light source to light my white wax lamp so I can choose to have it any color I feel like. Please check out my videos to see it in operation :) Thanks, Steve

I have a white Astro in copper also - what is your source for the coloured SES bulbs?

That looks great. We have two bottles from a Mathmos 3-1 lamp, never managed to buy any coloured bulbs for them though, so just run them with clear bulbs.
