So very tempting Ed, but abso-freaking-lutely not! I gave up a beloved Gem Lite to fund my Colossus and have absolutely no regrets. Have been delighted with the purchase. Wife also wants to get a second one at this point as the first one has been so impressive. Speaking of which... you may want to reach out to Susan Michaels at Lava Lite. There is a rumor that they may offer these again as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they offer it in blue/white. Try the link below.
