This is a Fantasie Lampada, a Crestworth Cosmos copy made in Italy.I am curious if anyone else has got a simular lamp..The base does not have an extension to hold the bottle, it rests on the bulb.Continue

"Italian, 1970s. There were several base and cap shapes, including a bulbous cap containing a metal ashtray. Came in black, white, brown, and several bright colors. The liquid is solvent (nasty stuff) and often eats the silvering off the mylar…"

Anyone noticed Mathmos new spare bottles now have a small rim at the bottom for a better fit.
This is a smart choice... no more tilting...
