Something Interesting About Me:: My personality shines best when I am around good friends.

I am kind, calm, caring, compassionate and love to cook.

43, 6' 225 to 250 (depending on how much ice cream I am eating, or how much exercise I am getting on that week). Nose ring is rarely in these days. Usually eat healthy. Love to cook - healthy, and prefer farm fresh produce, and having my own garden.

Interested in Garden Architecture, Native plants, strange hybrids, Betta Splendens breeding, miniature roses, carnivorous plants, sci-fi and fantasy books and movies, Sunrises, Sunsets, container gardening, roof gardens, formal gardens, raising my own food, crochet, hand spinning, cooking and baking - and experimenting with my own recipes.

My biggest addiction is bonsai. Not the sad little plant you buy that is half dead and soon to be tortured inside until it is lifeless. No, I am learning how to style my own. With about 15 plants in various stages of development, it is quite rewarding! I have everything from boxwood to blueberries. I also collect boxwoods of all types.

I am still trying to figure out what to do with my life.

I have always been a fan of the printed word - Favorite Books: The Harry Potter series, Till We Have Faces - C.S. Lewis, Storm Constantine - Wratheu, Silver Metal Lover by Tanith Lee, Dune, Childhoods End, Bite the Sun, A feast of Crows, Magics Pawn, The Last Unicorn, Tales of the Flat Earth, Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things, anything by Edgar Gorey, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Beneath the Wheel, The Golden Compass.

Favorite Movies: Donnie Darko, The Fith Element, Young Frankenstein, Fantastic Planet, Perfect Blue, The Last Unicorn, Blue Velvet, Barbarella, Aunti Mame, American Beauty, Amellie, Royal Tennenbaums, Big Fish, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, 8 1/2. Classic horror, subtitled anime and foreign films.

Favorite Music: Phillip Glass, Michael Nylan, Erasure, Sigur Rios, Maximilian hecker, New Order, Yaz, Dead Can Dance, Brian Eno

A perfect evening would include watching clouds blown by strong wind lit by a full moon after a spectacular sunset (just once I want to see the Green Flash), then watching a movie cuddled up on the couch in a warm blanket with the windows open and a cold breeze blows through. A fireplace is the best replacement for a tv

I like "granola" types and book geeks.

My Favorite Lava Lamp is:: Red wax, Silver base. The black base with blue, is my second favorite. Would really like to make my own with a unique color, someday.
