It is a lava grande, I have read on the internet that people do take the tops off and clean the inside of the vase, they can also change the colours of their lava lamps with food coloring, but I have tried taking the top off and I can't, I do not want to live with it the way it is, are there any cleaners outthere who could do this for me?
oh my gosh, I have a lamp like that, a green wax jet with a persistent 'lava smudge' against the glass which won't budge. I've read of guys here literally decanting the master fluid, carefully removing the lava into a separate container and scrubbing out the vase. Before you return the fluid and wax you should ensure the vase is perfectly clean and dry. A bit risky perhaps. Speak to Bohdan who is the lava master and expert on these thing/probems.
