well, i tried dismantling one of my lava lite lamps to get the socket out, to use for a rewire on my jet. but i failed miserably. is there a special way to get the bottom of the base off? to me it looks to be stapled or souldered together.

i was out today, i managed to find a 52oz black/clear lamp at a local store. and another red/clear bullet shaped lamp, i believe its a creative motion, but im not entirely sure. anyway, they both look fine when they are cool, but once they start heating up they get cloudy as sin. I think i may try the "Molten Meditations" cure for a cloudy lamp.. unless anyone has another idea. im open to all suggestions Continue
