Need new coil.

My 52oz. was acting really strange so I started messing with the water solution only to find out the coil had broken into 3 pieces! I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the coil but my goo was bleeding into the water. Very strange-can't imagine why that would all the sudden happen! Does anyone have a suggestion on what coil would work best and where to find them? I'm guessing a hardware store. Also, I added an extra small coil to my other 52 oz. that was running slow and it seemed to fix it. Does anyone know any tricks with the coils-like the more the better etc.?
