Need new oil

So my brother was by a couple weeks ago and knocked over my 1975 lamp. The cap (which was already damaged) broke and all the oil spilled out on my carpet. The wax is still in there and very little oil remains. The oil is up to the wide part of the globe . I was wondering if anyone knows what i can use to fill it up again. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The bottom has a hole in the middle and a screw offset from it. Thought sombody did that but saw another on ebay yesterday with the same thing

Have you any pictures, we could certainly tell you what lamp it is as for replacement oil (water) there are ways of achieving simmiler results DIY style the forum has many topics that cover this aspect.

It has one sticker on he base. Underwriters laboratories inc. the other stucker is missing but i can see where it was. Longer sided sticker.
Fatter base. Black plastic bottom with three pegs for legs. If that helps in identifying it.

Do you know which lamp it is ? 

I dont believe anyone here knows the exact recipee of the liquids of either Mathmos or Lava Lite lamps, but we've managed to figure out some pretty decent replacement liquid formulas over time, and there are serveral ways to accomplish this.
