Thanks for the note. First time I have replied to anything so apologies if I have replied twice through unfamiliarity with the forum.
I am surrounded with Mathmos Jets in particular. My wife is the real enthusiast, though I help her by scavenging boot sales to spot nice lamps. She likes lava lamps so much that she started retailing them, and now sells more than a few on ebay, and I help her out with the website we are building up. GreatGiftsAndToys - lava lamps Regards Simon
Otherwise I do not understand English, and I go through the Google translator. To visit site, I had it translated by the translator as Google. I live near Troyes, I'm about 250 km from Paris in the North East of France. And here Lava Lamp question, there is not much. Mathmos and are little known, I have never seen in stores. I would also acquire Lava Lite, but who knows one day ... A opportunity?? So much for me. Alpha Centauri thank you for reading and maybe soon!
Thank you for your comment. I is part of the few French who collects Lamps Lava. I'm more focused on Lava Lamps for Mathmos.I currently own, nearly Fluidium series. Opal, Green, Yellow and soon a Fluidium Orange is currently shipping, which I managed to find in Germany on the Web. I have spent on pre-order directly from the 2 Mathmos Smarts Astros. Estimated delivery stream March 2011.
Hi, thanks for your comments about our Crestworth Astro lantern. I'm sorry I didn't answer you when you wrote this comment, I've only just seen it now, some three months later lol. We only have one Crestworth Astro lantern, one 60s/70s Crestworth Astro, two Crestworth Astrobabies but, they don't have their original bottles. Then one 90's Crestworth Astro in a very pale copper colour. :) Other lamps are all Mathmos Astros and Astrobabies.
Ty for the welcome. The lamp I bought for my son is a Lava lite lamp 10" clear with black wax. Come to find out on Xmas day he and his sister were shaking presents and the lamp was one of them. I have been playing with it and think I may have it cleared up - fingers crossed :)
Just wanted to let you know that my double glitter globe made it and seller left positive feedback. I was holding my breath for it to get there in one piece!! Happy Holidays!!
Much Thanks Alpha, Very good marketing. I'm doing well here in Wash D.C., born and raised. Been a musician 'Utility' type for 35 years and now winding down to great melodys' and soft shoe original stuff. I got my interest in Lava lamps during the late 60's and 70's where it assisted my brain in negotiating life. I still think I'm living forever, and so far, so good. Take care. Butch
It was a pretty good auction, IMO!! I packed it like you suggested, but darn it! The box was so oversized 24 x 24 x 20 (with all the double boxing) it cost over $70 to ship to MN!! Arrrrggh, I hate it when I really mess up on shipping, that cost me $50 on the sale!!! Still not complaining, I'm very pleased with the outcome!!
