Thankfully, they all made it back, but several were very badly wounded.  Thank you for saying you all were lucky they were there, I really appreciate those special words.  We are very proud of our Veterans, every one of them, then and now.

French people didn't forget the help from the USA, as USA forgot about French help during Independance war ;-)

I'm sure many my age and older, have not forgotten how the French helped the Colonists in the Revolutionary War!   It's just a shame History is not taught to our children like it was when we were in school.  I certainly appreciate your ancestors very much!
