What a great idea Keith!!! Did you use the master fluid from those 20 oz'ers as well? I'm assuming you did. And I'm going to assume they were all 20 oz china's? So you just dumped almost 3 20 oz china into that one 52 oz globe? and you still are getting good flow? Even though it's china wax? WOW!! I find that very interesting. So are we safe to assume that it's not the wax that is causing their crap china flow problems?
Yep, one globe from 2012, one from 2008, and I don't remember the 3rd. I can think of a couple of different factors off-hand;
this is using a 40 watt bulb instead of whatever comes with a 20 ounce, so it's hotter.
The globe has more wax than a normal 52 ounce, but how that would make it flow better is beyond me.
This was after at least 7 hours on, for quite a while before this the flow was mostly column flow with a break up now and then.
Nice flowage, Keith! I believe that new lamps are under filled too and that aids in their sphere junk flow. Not enough wax to climb causing it to rip apart early and thrill us with boringness. Excellent combo beaker!
That does make sense Vox....
