I got this at a local flea market today and really didn't think I would ever find one with the screw on cap. The lava color is hard to explain, like a lime green (not yellow). It's only been running for a few hours thus far. Have no clue on it's age since it's my first screw on cap model. Fluid is real clear. Guy I got it from said he had it a long time. I told him it's going to a good home that will enjoy it. Oh I am using a frosted bulb as I am not sure if the clear bulbs can be used on the older lamps. WATCH IN HD for better viewing results.

Sweet lamp! Even the base and cap still look silky fresh.
Sometimes the globe will be stamped with the date on the bottom.
The globe could be a #23 blue/green. I'm not sure what years they were available though.
Like the one second from the left

Keith, no stamp on the bottom of the globe but if it were a stamp with ink, maybe is just wore away due to the bulb heat over time.
Hmmm, color wise, not sure if it matches the second one on the left. The color of the lava is between actual yellow and green, almost right down the middle in person. The fluid is a very very light blue.
After running it for about 5 to 6 hours, the flow got even better :)
Base has a little ding here and there but it seems like the past owner really took care of it.
I really like this lamp, enough to keep it lol as I sold some of my other 90's 52oz lamps as I just didn't like the color combos.
I might be to picky/fussy lol
lol, if you're not picky enough you will run out of room. I tend to keep all Lava brand lamps even if the color is not pleasing. I figure I will either eventually change the color or dump the contents and save the empty globe.
Keith, I am already out of room that is why I had to sell some things lol. Apartment living sucks but in my area home and condo prices and just out of control and absurd. I don't know how people do it to be honest. Not to forget the job market absolutely sucks and salaries are down about 15 to 20% ugh.
Anyway, see photo of the bottle off the base to see the lava color a little better
