Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey everyone.

I have one of the cheap 14" Lava Brand lamps.
I'm wanting to do somthing with the Base and Cap as there just plain silver.
What kinds of paint etc can I use on them?

Would be greatful for any tips!

Thanks!

Automotive engine paint. Anything that can withstand high heat temps.
Actually, I've had great luck with the Paint it Stone series from Krylon. It takes about 3 days to fully cure, but the end result turned out beautiful!
Is that the spray can stuff that gives things the stone look?
