Look what I brought home...

I found this on Craigslist last Friday and called the person about it. I was the first called on it, and he said he would hold it for me until I could come and get it. I went Saturday morning and picked it up. It was 2 1/2 hours from me, one way. That was the downfall, but I'm still glad I made the drive to pick it up. The original box wasn't advertised. When I spoke with the gentleman on the phone, I asked if he had the original box with it. He said he would look in the attic, and when I called back, he had found it! I have never seen a Giant with the original box. The box says GLB10 Base/Black, Lava/Red, Liquid/Clear. The box is dated Nov. 8th, 1999. This lamp came from Dave and Busters Arcades, it was a prize the previous owner won for having a lot of tickets or something. The lamp was never used, except for the pictures on the ad, and when I turned it on. Unfortunatley it's a little cloudy, but it still flows awesome. Overall I'm happy for $50. This is my second Giant, and with the original box I'm pretty happy. It's all original down to the lightbulb.

 

So how did I do? Was it worth the drive to pick this up? I have never seen a Giant in person, other than the other 1 I bought, and I have never seen one with the original box. It even has the packing foam in the box.

That's pretty nice. You are very lucky to have two of my WANTED lamps. Ugh. One day they might show up near me :)
