I just wanted to share our joy with all go goo mad lava heads out there. We are now the proud owners of a 1960's Crestworth Lantern lamp and I just love it.
It's in very nice condition, except for one of its former owners has been rough with taking the top on and off to get at the bottle, as the copper coloured finish has been scratched down to the grey base metal around the screws at the top of the handles, which is such a shame. Even so, it is a really beautiful lamp and I'm very happy to own it. It is now my favourite lamp in our collection.
I'm going to try and attach some photos so you can see it. Hopefully, they will appear on this thread.
Comments good or bad welcome, I don't know anything about this lamp so if anyone can give us any information on it at all, I would be very interested to hear it.
That's a beautiful example you've got there Bohdan, super condition. I wondered if the black pad was part of the lamp, that's why I thought it was different to ours. Our lamp has different rings around the top to yours.
Can you tell me anything about these lamps please?
Hi Marcel and Astrobaby, thanks so much for your comments and adding photos of your own lamps. You both have beautiful examples of the lantern there. I think I will swap the bottle to a more modern one so the bottle that came with it doesn't go cloudy. It is the most beautiful colour combination though, changing it over will be very hard for me lol. Silly isn't it, how you can fall in love with a lamp lol.
