Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

my parents just returned from a holiday on the isle of wight here in the UK.

in passing, they mentioned to me that they saw a hair dressers that also had a strange secondary business of selling... lava lamps!

they then went on to tell me in their non expert way that it was selling ' little rocket ones' - i.e mathmos telstar for £50 - so far so ordinary.

then they mention ' and they had a really big rocket one for sale ' - presumably a lunar.

my mind starts racing - ' we thought of calling you but didnt because we thought you would only ask us to buy it '  !!!!

so they didnt see the price.... but i can't help but wonder how people see these things while I don't.

I'm off to the Isle of wight.. just kidding!
it's the hairdresser part that gets me - what kind of business plan is that? - something for the weekend sir? - condoms, lava lamps....
I hate when folks see a deal & pass it up, because of a slight inconvenience! I hope the Lava goddess is kinder to you next time, Alan.
I live on the isle of wight and I think the hairdressers they are talking about is Beresfords in Cowes, they used to have a large Lunar in the window but I'm sure it was never for sale but they did sell other Mathmos models. If you think that's strange though they now sell Ice cream!
