Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Newb here. Need help identifying a lamp. Please...

Hi everyone. Please don't jump on me too bad, I am a newb here.

I went to an estate sale yesterday and picked up this lava lamp for $7.50, hopefully the picture I attached makes it. It looks to me to be pretty old, and looks similar to the original century model picture I saw on this website. It works fine, in this picture it just hasn't warmed up. There is rubber on the base and it is 17 inches tall and gold in color, bigger than any of my modern lava lamps. The lava is a gold looking color and the liquid is clear, and as you can see there are small holes in the base where light can shine through. Reminds me of a Dalek from Dr. Who

Can anybody tell me what, if anything, I have here, and if it is special at all? I didn't see any markings or model numbers, but the plug it uses looks to be an older non polarized one. I collect things from the 1960s and 1970s and own other (modern) lava lamps, and I purchased it only to enjoy it.
