Negative feedback on Ebay - yes or no

Firstly as the title may suggest I do want to give fair and positive feedback on ebay - however I have a bit of a problem.

I brought a red and clear Jet with white base off Ebay - I saw it and asumed it was genuine Mathmos (judging by the lamp and its flow in the picture etc). However it wasn't as there was little flow and it didn't seam like Mathmos formula, as well as that the bottom of the globe didn't have Mathmos written on it and the cap wasn't a Mathmos cap and wasn't sealed like a Mathmos cap. - I can confirm it defiantly isn't a Mathmos globe - the base was Mathmos though

I decided to goo kit it and make a nice lamp out of it.

I gave feedback to the seller which was negative and said that it wasn't a original as advertised - i thought this was fair enough.

The seller has now emailed me saying that I should review the feedback and give better.

This is what the email said. - "Hi eBay the buyer asked for a discount on the lava lamp stating no mathmos name written on the bottom of glass bottle so by his judgment it is not a mathmos bottle mathmos produced jet type bottle, for 35 years and the majority of the bottles had batch numbers printed on bottom of the glass not mathmos, common knowledge to a collector, this is extreme behavior to give a negative over this, no ebay buyer or seller states or asks what?s printed on the bottom of the bottle Kind regards"

sounds like the lady who sold me a fantasia.. i asked about the condition of the spray.. she stated looks perfect with no visible balding... when I got it there were 3 spots where I could stick my hand into it without touching the surrounding spray..was she kidding me...basically I would say about 1/3 of the spray was gone..and alot of it broken off too.

when i got up with her she acted offended. I told her the condition of the spray really determines my limit on how high I would go.. and if she had not outright lied and misrepresented the item no way i would of paid what I did .. so after going a few rounds of useless emails with her... I left her a very harsh and buyer beware feedback.. she replied to my feedback with I was to much drama and blocked me..I filed a case with ebay to get a partial refund...
