Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I've seen on some websites black mathmos (lightable.com, mathmos,...), more plum than black I think, reminding me one of my babies, a clear/dark plum, almost black when switched off.

Did anyone try it ? is it really black ? (I crave for a real clear/dark with mathmos motion but eventually will switch to lavaworld or lavalite black/clear)

I haven't tried a mathmos black / clear lamp before - they seemed really good when they were produced.  I don't know weather the plum black was the original colour or they changed there description as 'black' is a very hard colour to achieve.

I think the best option is to get a US made lamp from lava lite - don't go for the lava world 'china' made ones as they are rubbish.

its not black your right it is a dark plum color
