Fake or Real?

Great publicity for Mathmos ....

... and a chance for No. 1?

So you get a paper certificate in addition to the paper sticker to designate you have a limited edition lamp?  The limited edition designation of the 1st run of Smart Astros was an absolute joke, so I find this laughable.

In terms of the Smart Astro they could have discreetly engraved/etched 1/??? onto the edge of the "smart button".  I expected better to herald in this revolutionary lamp than a cheap limited edition sticker under the base.  The old grand dame deserves better too.

I want to see a 'real' picture of it insted of a photo shoped picture of it like LL do I think that it is real and its intresting that Mathmos are releasing them on ebay and no where else.

If any one on hear gets this then please do a revew of it.

Tim - I sense they are only selling lamp #1 on eBay as a charity auction.

they are for sale on the mathmos site as well just ordered one £75

What exactly makes this a $120 lamp?  Its just an Astro with a graphic applied to the base and cap.  Not worth the extra $30 premium you are paying over the price of an Astro.  Was thinking this would be a good gift for my mother-in-law, but questioning that now.
