I came across this snippet of all the funky cool stuff that lava is working on for 2012.

We are in for a few treats ...
In addition to the introductions Lava will place ongoing emphasis on the VORTEX lamp this year as well. Launched in 2011, the lamp, with its swirling, LED-lit glitter, generated a strong response from buyers and consumers, Lava noted.

I really like the Tornado, I remember seeing something like it that wasn't released, so hopefully we can get our hands on it. Hopefully the ICE is nice and small 20 oz too.
1. It wont matter if the formula still sucks. I would have bought more designers, but they all sucked as far as the formula goes.
2. More licensed junk.
3. Junk.
4. Sounds awesome, even if the formula is junk we can do a globe swap.
They said they wanted to bring back wave machines this year, now THAT is something I am looking forward to.
I agree with Autumn - its all junk unless the formula is sorted and i doubt they will do that
however it is interesting to see the new designs and what they are like if they are good then I can just goo kit them or do a transfer.
The tornado is something I would defiantly buy - that looks cool.
The neon lava is something that has already been done (the electric series) if the formula hasn't changed then just don't go near them as it will be another junk lamp re designed.
I will be checking up for the wave machine - that will be really nice if its done right.
"A grate year for lava" - I am not to sure I wouldent say that.
For the tornado lamp to be effective, it really, at a minimum, needs to be done in the larger 52 ounce format. They should include some floating plastic farm animals. A Tornado Grande would have the potential to be quite bad ass.
If they can figure a way to turn the tornado upside-down; you could add tiny dollar bills and call it a " WastingYour Money On Lava World Junk " Lamp!!!
Weird that the UK already has the "Smart" lava from Lava Lite. Maybe they are trying to fool the other side of the pond?
The only one that looks remotely interesting would be the Tornado. Like everyone else said, the rest will be junk unless the formula is fixed.
I personally will just Baby my Astros for the time being.
Where are these being sold?

The 'Smart' Lava Lite has been available in the UK for a while now.
LOL!!! Or they could market it as a Wizard of Oz lamp ;)

No tornado lamp for me lol see way too many of them here in the midwest! Scary.
Looks like Lava Lite has moved: http://www.homeworldbusiness.com/links/news/news.php?ID=18779
Whats the point? Or are they actually making enough money to need to expand?
