I have one of those, too and oddly, I didn't know they were made that late (mine is from 1998)! Nor did I know they were made in China. Let me tell you this - it's GORGEOUS. Mine is beautiful. I think mine was nearly new.
The spray doesn't rotate, but it has a color wheel that does. This one seems so much brighter than my other two (Firefly and Centurion).
It has HUGE power adapter that I hate though. Let me know if yours has one, too. I want to replace it.
You will love it. ;)
Oh is that why it looks in such great shape? I thought the 2001 was a model number, because I thought these were much older then that. Well thanks for the input Ms. Erin ;-) I'm pretty geeked about getting it! This may trigger me to get more of them now and the fact you say there's one that the spray rotates on?! :o I probably will get more.
It seems MOST of them have a rotating spray.
I think that 2001 *is* the model #, but the box on mine did indeed say 1998.
I was surprised to learn they made them that late, too.
Oh okay so mine could've been made in 98 as well. Well either way still excited :)
Congrats! I would love to find a Fantasia fiber optic (for cheap) ;)
Thanks Keith ;)
Hey Erin, I have one as well. My color wheel has fallen off the rotator and only the white light shows through the optics. I can't seem to get it apart. I can't twist it apart or get my fingers in the seam to pull it apart either. Have you ever separated the top half from the bottom half?

Nope, I've never touched it. I could take a look at it though, if you're interested.
Mostly, I just want that big break of a power supply converted to a regular cord. Why would they have a big power brick on it like that?

Hey Matt, this is just a guess but maybe the screws that hold this together are hiding under something on the bottom. maybe those rubber foot pads?
I know the other fiber optics I have, the two big pieces aren't really connected. The top half of my Centirion just lifts off. Wait, so does this one. I'll look when I get home. I think the two pieces just kinda snap together.
Doc - I will send some feedback your way. I have just about this same fiber optic, but the Cuda version. Mine doesn't have the black adapter to hold the spray I don't think. Will have to check. That is fiber optic three to add to my new display as it sits low enough for shelving. I will see if mine only rotates internally or if the spray rotates as well.
Save the coins up for a Sunburst - you will NEVER look back.
