yeah that's what I thought too. I really really don't want a sharpie covered lava lamp, but it would certainly be good to sell. the trips leave more to be desired. kind of makes me wish they would just save all this money and put it back into AWESOME and good quality lamps.

I dont think them not spending money on giveaway trips and contests would turn the quality factor around in the least bit. Lets keep this topic about the contest only :)

It's a bit lame i have to say - its more a comp for the artists raver then anything else.

I think a better idea would be to get people to sharpie on lamps and then send the lamps in to be judged. That way there is the potential for lamps to be sold, people to know about them and also its a lot more fun.

I will give it a shot but its not that exciting.

just a thought.... we could have our own sharpie contest. members could post pics of their creations and whoever gets the most "likes" wins. there doesent even have to be a prize. the winner would just get the satisfaction of knowing that they are an awesome artist.

Damn, i could have won this easy, I bought one at goodwill that was COVERED in stickers, they even stickered the globe to the base and the cap to the globe. I should have taken a before picture.
