Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Got it in the mail today, so excited- new color for me (Clear/Turquoise).  It is a little cloudy, but that's what happens with shipping in the summer, hopefully it will clear up.  This thing is very shiny and well made (first I've ever seen one in person).  Not a fan of the light bulb they chose to use (uncommon), however it's nice to have something factory made for the US ,electrical wise.

Do you have any other Telstars Drew?  If so, does this one differ in any substantial ways from your UK versions?  I just want to know if the big bonus is just the piece of paper numbering your Telstar as 164?  Did they place a matching number on the lamp in any location?

What lightbulb does it use?

oh man....ME WANT!!!!!

I do not have any other telstar or astro baby lamps, just an Astro from UK (with a bulb I will likely never be able to easily replace).  It is not numbered on the unit at all as I can tell.  I felt it was worth it to pay the 140 to get a US Telstar base (I will also Buy the astro US one when they release it as I have 20 or so Astro bottles in varying color combos), I also have a spare clear/white astro baby bottle from a massive order I did from the UK for everyone before. I would buy more bottles for it when the whether cools down either from Electric Planet or if the US store decides to add them soon. The numbered certificate had nothing to do with my decision to purchase, just want a new quality product to enjoy without the stress inducing importation operation and US conversion devices.

It's a 30 watt reflector bulb.  I like the 40 watt ones traditional US lamps use because they also come in the daylight color (more white than yellow light which looks better with some color combos like blue/white and the mathmos clear/white), white light can be so much better on some globes.
