Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I see that Spencer's website has those neon's available now. Have to go see what these look like in person to see if there are worth it. Autumn do you know if there more colors available or is this it?  These remind me of the old days of the midnight aristocrats minus the pinholes.

my neon

okay so my neon is a little clearer but my patience is wearing thin, so I called my local spencers and of course the display model was sold so I can't switch mine out, but they will check the next shipment (tomorrow) and if a new on comes in that isn't messed up its mine. so please bare with me. When I post a pick I want it to be worth looking at.

my local spencer's had the neon green lamps in stock, so i may go pick one up tomorrow and give it a try.  hoping it won't be cloudy,..

here she is.  crystal clear!

Just got back from Spencers and they had a few of the new lamps out on display and they really do look much better. The pink zebra globe looked nice and clear and flowed nicely but I'm still skeptical about the overheating... but it is better I'll admit it.  I wonder if they fixed all those bad ones here on US soil or these are from china. Well either way I couldn't help but not to buy one lol I got the lime green one, won't find out if its clear until I get home but I'm going to most likely use this globe for one of my midnight centurys. I also couldn't help to get one of those 52 oz size plasma lamp everytime I went in there they didnt have them but this time they did.

Wow the flow in those lamps is amazing!!!  Maybe they did fill those hear?  Perhaps its a trial run.  I haven't bought a China lamp in years but I am extremely tempted to buy one of those neon lamps.  What LL needs to do once they have reached a quality level again is sort their lamps in better groups.

They still need to use ACTUAL images on their packaging.  That's one huge advantage the 90s had with their lamps.

Don't have 3 Neon color combos, have one several but only with clear liquid.  Kinda like the orignal 1992 Elek-tricks.  They also need to have every model (whether its a special edition or what not) listed on their website.  Why does Spencers only get the blue/red 52oz???

Last, but certainly not least, why not bring back the 32oz Midnight or Century lamps?  They need to bring the pinholes back.  Something tells me they fear thats too vintage.  Idk, but I am happy to finally see things move in the right direction after all these years.

We've waited long enough.

They were filled in China. The reason they don't use real photos anymore is because the products are designed and their packaging is made before any actual lamp is ever produced.

I wonder if all the new neons would turn out as nicely as yours, or if there is specific manufacturing batch that is flowing nicer than others.

I opened up mine yesterday and it was definitely crystal clear. I didn't let it run long enough to get a good conclusion of the flow but I'm going power run it this weekend and we shall see. The wax still looks weird though, like a crystallized toilet mint.

Hey Autumn ask Dale if they are going to make the neon blue in 52 oz? or even orange. If your gonna make a neon series might as well do all the colors no?

I'm surprised that lava lites has not made anything with the color orange. When I was a seller I could not keep the 20oz
Orange in stock. I would order 16 at a time within 4 days they were sold. But in my opinion colors do not mean anything without the quality. So now that lava lites its beginning to improve in that area I personally can look forward to future lamps and color combos.

Its nice to see that the majority of us are having good results with the neons.  Are you all finding that your Spencers only has the green and purple?  Have they not re-released the neon yellow after the voluntary recall?
