Spencers exclusive neon? lamps

I see that Spencer's website has those neon's available now. Have to go see what these look like in person to see if there are worth it. Autumn do you know if there more colors available or is this it?  These remind me of the old days of the midnight aristocrats minus the pinholes.

I thought HEPA filters were for filtering air?

would a diatomaceous earth filter be fine enough? I know DE is used for filtering yeast out of beer and wine.

I've read that the filters for the MiniWorks and MiniWorks EX are pretty much interchangeable.

I own the BLACK / CLEAR  Dark Knight Rises lamp ! 1ST one i had to take back to spencers cuz it screwed up  and then the one i got now works great !!!  It has clear liquid and black lava in it !  It is awesome

As people said before there are other filters out there that do the job, one guy has filterd a collouss before using a pure-ease water filter http://oozinggoo.ning.com/forum/topics/my-colossus-project

There is another filter that is a cheap China one called the soldiers filter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Soldiers-Hiking-Camping-Pure-Ceramic-Wate... this has been talked about and recomemded but after revews on hear, it is really rubbish. 

The only filter that gives consistaint results is the MSR filter - its expensive as its a quality item and MSR gives good customer support and replacment parts.

If I were to filter lamps then I would only bother filteirng rair or discontinued lamps and the USA globes as the china ones are not worth it and your better replacing the fluid anyway.

I don't know how easy it would be to make a home made filter as it requires the water to be under presure to force it through the holes in the filter paper, I would think that just using gravety alone wouldent be enough.

i couldnt find an MSR without active carbon in it. i almost bought one of those cheap made in china ones untill i saw the reviwes on it lol...so i went with a katadyne mini ceramic microfilter http://www.amazon.com/Katadyn-Mini-Ceramic-Water-Microfilter/dp/B00... thats the same one i bought but i got mine on ebay cheaper.

oh yeah, and i would also like to add that i have made a filter out of a vacuume hepa filter and it worked! it just wasnt very user friendly lol.

I did see where you did that, and while I'm often loving to DIY stuff, I believe user friendly in this case might be a good thing.  Probably would do it if I only had 1 lamp though...

Tiffany thsi isnt the right filter, well at least the one I use. the one I use has a ceramic filter its called a miniworks

on another note about these neons, the lime green one is UV reactive :) I noticed thsi last night when I have my UV on and that lamp was off.
