This is a short review. Simply put I do not like this lamp and will likely end up returning it.
Base and cap: 4/10
Glass 1/10
Clarity: 10/10
Flow: 3/10
Color: 7/10
Base and cap: Typical 52oz brushed aluminum finish. It's not a bad base, but I am so sick of seeing this base.
Glass: It is full of bubbles. One of the worst globes I have ever seen.
Clarity: Crystal clear.
Flow: The flow is the same as the lamps we are all used to seeing throughout 2012. Very boring with mainly 1 big blob moving up and down slowly.
Color: The color is hardly like the 32oz version. The red wax is very bright and does not look good in the blue liquid like the 32oz version does. I'm not a fan.

I'm kicking around the idea of getting one of these. I bought the last purple/yellow at a local Spencer's and am surprisingly pleased with the globe. It's very good and the cat that works there actually offered to open the package and put the globe on one of the display bases so I could check it out first.
I bought one also, I think mine flows pretty well and the liquid is clear. However I also had a lot of specs in my glass.
It seems as if ALL of the pictures I've seen of these red/blue globes show bubbles in the glass. I guess they were all ran in the same batch with a bad run of globes. If you really like the color combo you could use an empty globe to swap with, but a new globe shouldn't have to be altered to be pleasing.
I agree. Glad I didn't purchase this one last week. The 3 Neons I did buy have globes full of bubbles. The liquid is clear and the flow is OK but for me the clarity of the glass is just as important as anything else. Contemplating going back to Lincoln to return them. :(
This is making me want to take a closer look at my China blue/red 52. I had high hopes for this globe.
The red/blue at the Spencer's here had good color and fairly good flow but the bottle was terrible. It had those same little bubbles all over the glass and is really looked bad. I don't know how these bad bottles are getting past QC.
This is the problem with manufacturing in China. Quality control is a constant issue. The Chinese factory owners will do anything to cut costs and have to be monitored at all times. Since they can not be trusted to operate in a way that is best for the consumer and Lava Lite the globe manufacturing is being brought back to the USA.

yet another reason for me to ask to open them up in store before buying!
